Job summary

A leading biodiesel producer in the UK is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation Technician to ensure high standards of maintenance and safety across production units. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Chemical/Oil & Gas Industry, as well as relevant qualifications such as an industry-recognized apprenticeship and COMPEX training. Responsibilities include executing preventative maintenance, monitoring CMMS, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Qualifications

  • Post apprenticeship experience in the Chemical/Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Competent at interpreting electrical diagrams/schematics.
  • Knowledge and experience with process control instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned/preventative maintenance on Electrical and Instrumentation hardware.
  • Monitor the CMMS (Ultimo) for job completion.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical regulations.

Skills

Electrical/Instrumentation Technician experience
Maintenance of ATEX systems
Competent on LV equipment
Fault finding in LV motors
Knowledge of HV switchgear
Interpreting electrical diagrams
Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regs 1989
Process control instrumentation
Knowledge of DCS, PLC, SCADA
Communication skills
Analytical skills

Education

Industry recognised Apprenticeship in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering
COMPEX trained Ex 1-4 (Gas & Vapours)
