Control Panel Wirer

Location: Yate, South Gloucestershire

Rate/Salary: £17-£17.75 per hour plus overtime

Job Type: Contract

We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients in Yate for an experienced Control Panel Wirer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established engineering company offering stable and ongoing work.

The Role

• Wiring and building electrical control panels
• Point-to-point wiring and control panel assembly
• Working from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
• Installing and wiring components such as PLCs, contactors, relays, terminal blocks, and power supplies
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with electrical regulations
• Carrying out basic testing and fault finding where required

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Control Panel Wirer / Panel Builder
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Strong knowledge of control panel wiring and electrical components
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Understanding or experience of mechanical fitting or assembly
• Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
