Overview

Our client, a leading Tier 1 M&E contractor, is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale and technically complex projects across the commercial, aviation, and data centre sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for projects ranging from initial concept through to final tender submission
• Review design documentation and specifications to produce competitive and compliant tenders
• Work closely with the pre‑construction, design, and delivery teams to ensure cost accuracy and buildability
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
• Support value engineering exercises and identify potential cost‑saving opportunities
• Contribute to bid presentations and client meetings when required
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market pricing, labour rates, and industry standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the M&E contracting sector
• Strong background working on commercial, aviation, or data centre projects
• Excellent understanding of electrical systems, materials, and installation methodologies
• Ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications
• Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Based within a commutable distance to London with flexibility for hybrid working
