Electrical Engineer
Location: Scotstoun, BAE Systems
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £25.28 PAYE or £33.92 Umbrella
Working Arrangements: 1-2 days on site per week

About the Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and improvement of shipboard electrical systems. You'll apply your technical expertise to support detailed design, modifications, and enhancements across a range of areas—from lighting and earthing systems to aviation support and degaussing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of low voltage systems, including:
    • LV Distribution & Protection
    • Earthing Systems & Cable Routing
    • Portable and Domestic Supplies
    • Lighting Systems & Degaussing
    • Hull Preservation & Aviation Support Systems

What You’ll Need
  • Working towards IEng or CEng registration with the Engineering Council.
  • Preferably a maritime background.
  • Experience reviewing electrical cable schedules.
  • Experience reviewing cable diagrams.
  • Preferably experience using CMPIC (main software used in this role).
