Contract/Staff Position

Your Future Team

The Electrical Engineer will be working as part of a multi‑disciplinary engineering team within the Approving Authority, the primary purpose of the role is to directly support current operations and future programmes. Supporting nuclear facilities and the delivery of services across both client sites near Helensburgh.

Your Missions
  • Manage Infrastructure Design Substantiation documents.
  • Handle design changes/concessions.
  • Present Design substantiations to safety committees.
  • Develop EIMT Schedule, procedures, and results.
  • Produce Periodic Review of Safety reports.
  • Advise internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct Independent Technical Review.
  • Apply engineering knowledge to nuclear/high‑risk environments.
  • Justify civil/structural design modifications.
  • Review reports and safety submissions.
  • Check and review calculations and technical documents.

Qualifications
  • Experience in the design assessment of.Qu electrical installations in a HV or LV environment.
  • Theoretical and practical skills across concept, detailed design, and construction stages for electrical engineering projects.
  • Experience in assessing electrical plant and equipment for hazards.
  • Authoring technical justifications for electrical design modifications in high hazard industries.
  • Experience in multi‑discipline projects providing electrical engineering input.
  • Experienced in regulated tumble.
  • Familiarity with safety case development techniques like HAZID/HAZOP studies.
  • Worked in the UK nuclear industry (energy or defense), especially in safety‑related structures, systems, and components.

  • Security Clearance: SC, UK National.
  • BEng in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
