Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) - FM Contract (ICR)

Location: Sutton, London

Salary: £43,000 per annum + On-Call + Overtime

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to work on our FM contract with the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), based at their Sutton site.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team supporting critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring experience in Facilities Management (FM), strong electrical knowledge, and a willingness to learn additional systems such as medical gases and steam - with training provided.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of standard FM HVAC and LV systems
  • Participate in the on-call rota (1 in 7 rotation, every 4 nights)
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts in a timely and professional manner
  • Work with and be trained in Medical Gases and Steam systems
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and statutory requirements
  • Complete relevant paperwork, documentation, and compliance records
  • Support additional ad hoc tasks as required by the FM contract
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Formal Electrical Qualification (e.g. City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
  • Experience working on HVAC and low voltage systems
  • Strong understanding of FM maintenance practices
Desirable
  • Test & Inspection (2391 or equivalent)
  • ECS / CSCS Card
  • Experience in healthcare or critical environments (highly beneficial)
  • Willingness to train on Medical Gases and Steam plant
