An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading consultancy delivering high–integrity engineering solutions for the nuclear sector. The role involves designing, modelling, and documenting complex electrical systems for safety–critical environments, supporting major UK nuclear clean–up, decommissioning, and new build projects.

This role would suit a technically confident electrical engineer with experience in the nuclear or other highly regulated sectors. Ideal candidates are precise, innovative, and thrive in complex, safety–focused projects. The position is perfect for someone who enjoys collaborating remotely while ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for nuclear facilities, including power distribution, control systems, and specialist high–integrity installations.
  • Produce detailed technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, wiring diagrams, equipment schedules, and reports.
  • Undertake 3D modelling and coordination using industry–standard software and BIM tools.
  • Support decommissioning, containment, and new build projects by delivering safe, reliable electrical designs.
  • Ensure all designs comply with UK nuclear regulatory requirements, codes, and best practices.

In return you'll be fully remote with occasional trips to high security sites. You'll have a salary up to 65k, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays and a competitive package.
