Job description
  • As an Electrical Design Engineer at Primech Building Services, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of electrical systems for a broad range of projects, including educational, commercial buildings.
  • Your primary responsibilities will involve creating detailed electrical designs, performing calculations, and developing specifications that meet industry standards and project requirements.
  • You will collaborate closely with the Design Manager and be expected to deliver high-quality designs that are ready for internal review.
  • Key tasks include reviewing design contracts, producing MEP designs, monitoring drawing production timelines, and ensuring technical accuracy and consistency.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive design documentation and facilitating communication with internal and external project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Your role may also involve conducting site surveys and creating energy modelling assessments and reports as required.
Requirements
  • A degree in Building Services Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in the Building Services industry, particularly in electrical design.
  • Proficient understanding of electrical engineering principles and the technical aspects of design.
  • Experience with design software, such as Revit, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong interest in sustainable design practices and energy efficiency.
  • Familiarity with current Building Regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • A valid UK driving license.
