Qualifications

  • Experience of EC&I engineering in the power generation industry or related sector.
  • Background as a Maintenance Technician or Service Engineer with EC&I repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and plan daily maintenance activities.
  • Assist in outage planning, scheduling and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Supervise contractors carrying out maintenance tasks.

About The Role

What is the role?

The jobholder will be working as part of a maintenance team to carry out both ad-hoc and planned pre-emptive and reactive maintenance on all Electrical, Control & Instrumental aspects of the plant in a safe and compliant effective way to ensure continuous dependability and performance of the plant.

What you will be doing?

Please see below a brief overview of the role and the responsibilities

  • Co-ordinating and planning daily maintenance activities.
  • Assisting in outage planning, scheduling & co-ordination.
  • Involvement in any investigations into safety and technical aspects of the EC&I equipment within the plant.
  • Implementing improvements to ensure the ongoing integrity and performance of the plant.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety & environmental management policies.
  • Carrying out and/or supervising contractors carrying out maintenance tasks.
  • Preparation of work control packs using a maintenance management system, issuing said work packs and reporting on close out of the work.
  • Involvement in the continuous review of EC&I spares to ensure the high availability and reliability of the plant.
  • Assisting in the development of a major plant failure strategy
Desirable qualifications
  • ONC / HNC qualified in an engineering and/or EC&I qualification.
  • Experience of EC&I engineering in the power generation industry or other related sector.
  • Ideally, a background as a Maintenance Technician or Service Engineer undertaking EC&I repairs on plant equipment.
  • Health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH or IOSH, would be advantageous.
