Job summary

A local recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Educational Psychologist to provide psychological services to schools and families in Bedfordshire. This full-time position offers a competitive rate of £650 per day and the opportunity for flexible work arrangements, including F2F, remote, or hybrid. Ideal candidates will have HCPC registration and a BPS-accredited Doctorate in Educational Psychology.

Qualifications

  • HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist required.
  • Strong consultation, assessment, and communication skills needed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across education, health, and social care sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and consultations for children and young people.
  • Provide psychological advice for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service databases.

Educational Psychologist Main Purpose of the Role

To deliver an effective educational psychology service to schools, families, and the local authority by:

  • Providing psychological advice for statutory assessments under the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Supporting children and young people with special educational needs, emotional or behavioural difficulties, and developmental disorders.
  • Promoting inclusive education and well-being through evidence-based interventions.
Educational Psychologist Key Responsibilities
