A dynamic alternative sports provision in Eastleigh is expanding its team and looking for enthusiastic Sports Mentors who can inspire, motivate, and support young people aged 9‑16 who benefit from active, hands‑on learning. This is an exciting role where every day is different. You'll use sport, movement, and physical activity to help students rediscover their strengths, build resilience, and understand the value of routine, teamwork, and effort.

Day‑to‑Day Role
  • Deliver movement‑based sessions tailored to each young person
  • Use sport to teach confidence, boundaries, and emotional regulation
  • Plan engaging activities such as football, circuits, running, fishing, or outdoor challenges
  • Mentor students 1:1, helping them navigate their emotions and build trust
  • Encourage positive habits – healthy routines, team spirit, and self‑belief
  • Support morning check‑ins that set students up for the day
  • Work with a passionate, tight‑knit team who genuinely care
Qualifications & Attributes
  • Experience in sport, coaching, youth work, fitness or a strong desire to support young people through positive action and strong relationships
  • Energetic, active, and passionate about helping others
  • Calm under pressure and resilient in challenging moments
  • Communicate clearly, kindly, and confidently
  • Enjoy working outdoors and trying new activities
Benefits & Salary
  • £93 per day
  • Full time – 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
  • Immediate start, 12‑week temp‑to‑perm progression
  • All training included: behaviour, safeguarding, and sport facilities
