In this role, you'll be able to give people the opportunity to learn about using water wisely and what not to put down the toilet and sink whilst helping to deliver key environmental messages that provide long‑lasting behavioural change. Giving an insight into the world of Severn Trent you'll help enhancing our reputation with everyone you meet.

Responsibilities
  • Presenting using several channels such as school assemblies, workshops, site tours and our education vehicles
  • Helping achieve our wider customer service ambitions through school visits, community group presentations, visitor site days and other educational projects
  • Representing Severn Trent at external events ranging from family fun days to river festivals, engaging with customers and hosting activities on weekends
  • Knowledge of water and waste‑water treatment processes
  • Working with the Senior Education Officer and team to continually evolve and refresh our education offering
  • Managing your workload to ensure you hit your targets, maintaining an accurate database, completing the required monthly reports and tracking and responding to queries / booking requests
  • Working as part of a highly‑engaged team, providing support and cover when needed in all regions
  • Confident Driver who will be able to drive our Wonderful Water Tour Vehicle when required

You’ll be travelling to schools and various locations on a daily basis, which may also be outside of the Worcester/Gloucester area.

Qualifications and requirements

You will join us with a background of working with a variety of ages and audiences including young people and demonstrable communications experience, alongside a customer‑centric way of thinking and a 'right first time' attitude to your work. You have strong presentation skills and will be adept at working in a fast‑paced environment.

Due to the nature of this role, it's essential for you to hold a Full UK Driving License and have both the ability and willingness to travel across our region on a regular basis. The role is Home Based but the majority of your work will be based in Worcester and Gloucester.
