Qualifications

  • Degree in ecology or a related environmental discipline.
  • Strong field survey skills and experience in UK habitats.
  • Membership (or working towards membership) of CIEEM is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site work.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake and lead ecological surveys.
  • Prepare clear, accurate ecological reports and impact assessments.
  • Support the design and implementation of mitigation measures.
  • Liaise with clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to biodiversity net gain initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake and lead ecological surveys (including habitat and protected species surveys)
  • Prepare clear, accurate ecological reports and impact assessments
  • Support the design and implementation of mitigation and enhancement measures
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to deliver high‑quality outcomes
  • Contribute to biodiversity net gain and nature recovery initiatives
About You
  • Degree in ecology or a related environmental discipline
  • Strong field survey skills and experience in UK habitats and protected species work
  • Membership (or working towards membership) of CIEEM
  • Understanding of relevant UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
