Overview

ECI, Project Manager, Civil Engineering, Water, Contracts Manager, NEC. Hays Belfast are recruiting on behalf of an NI-based Civil & Construction Engineering Contractor who requires an ECI Project Manager (Early Contractor Involvement) on a permanent basis to work in their County Tyrone offices. With an increasing order book and ongoing successes and growth within their Civil Engineering team, this is an excellent opportunity. The employer has a consistent pipeline of major works across the UK and Ireland and an enviable order book of live sites. You will be involved in the continued and sustained growth of their Civil Engineering Division, focusing on ECI work for new projects.

With a large team of permanent staff, the company has an in-house team of strong operational, commercial and support staff to ensure the business stays at the forefront of the industry. The contractor offers a permanent role based in Tyrone with a competitive salary, car allowance, bonus and other company benefits, including ongoing training and development programmes.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Senior Management team; contribute to the business growth and sustained pipeline of work.
  • Focusing specifically on a long-term water framework, participate in all aspects of ECI work on civil engineering schemes.
  • Design: shape the project, assess constructability and provide value-engineered solutions; collaborate with the ECI Framework Manager on key infrastructure projects for water sector clients.
  • Commercial: collaborate with Estimators and QS team to review sub-contract costs and construction contracts.
  • Liaison: engage with clients, designers, construction teams, supply chain and stakeholders to ensure viable design solutions.
What you'll need to succeed

Experience in civil engineering management roles; preferably within the water sector, though all civils will be considered. Experience with ECI schemes and broad contractual knowledge; ability to add value engineering to each scheme. A degree in Civil Engineering is favourable. Strong communication, excellent IT skills and a self-starter attitude to work with various departments are desirable.
