Overview

Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant – Newham
Location: Newham
Salary: £90 – £105 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs (e.g., ADHD and emotional challenges)
  • Helping to create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
  • Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support plans
  • Assisting with learning in EYFS in the mornings and KS1/KS2 in the afternoon
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with children
  • Providing personal care, including nappy changing, when required

  • Experience as an Early Years TA or Nursery Assistant (preferred)
  • Nappy changing and supporting personal care needs
  • A kind, patient and proactive attitude
  • Understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Resilient and adaptable – ready to work across age groups when needed
