Job Description

Act as a member of an Early Learning and Childcare team, working within an Early Years setting in Aberdeenshire, with involvement in the work of the Early Level curriculum, and where appropriate, the pre-Birth to Three Framework whilst under supervision from the Early Years Senior Practitioner.

Provide general support in relation to the needs of individuals' care, health and wellbeing and safety and ensure a secure and safe environment for all children (including children with Additional Support Needs).

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This is a Children's Service Network (CSN) post. Initially you will be based at Portlethen Primary School Nursery, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Portlethen CSN. The successful candidate will be employed on a 52.18 weeks per year contract.

Fixed term for a period not exceeding 01/06/2027.

Requirements

• Post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
• Must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check; an Overseas Criminal Record Check is required if a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years.
• Obtain SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.
• Provide two references, one of which must be from current or most recent employer.
• Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement and quality service delivery.
