Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate Skills Coach to support and guide Early Years apprentices through their learning journey. You'll deliver remote 1:1 sessions, track progress using our e‑portfolio system, and work closely with learners and employers to ensure timely achievement. Candidates should have at least a GCSE (A‑C) or equivalent in English and Maths.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of learners in line with KPIs
  • Support remote teaching, learning, and assessment
  • Track progress and Off‑the‑Job hours via e‑portfolio
  • Support Functional Skills achievement
  • Promote learner engagement and progression
  • Ensure safeguarding, EDI, and H&S compliance
  • Provide effective IAG to learners and employers
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive success
  • Stay current with Ofsted and EYFS standards
Required Qualifications
  • Children's Care Learning & Development (Level 3), Childcare & Education (Level 3) or Early Years Care & Education (Level 3) or equivalent/higher qualification
  • TAQA, A1, D32/33, CAVA or willingness to work towards
Desired Qualifications
  • Foundation or Honours Degree in Early Childhood Studies
  • Teaching/training qualifications (e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert‑Ed)
  • Paediatric First Aid (Level 3)
  • 3 years experience working in a childcare setting
  • 2+ years management experience
Other Requirements
  • Flexibility to work across locations if needed
  • Full enhanced DBS check required
