Job summary

A Scottish local authority is seeking an Early Years Officer to join the team at Parkhill ELC Centre. This full-time and permanent role involves promoting and delivering high-quality play and learning experiences for children. The ideal candidate will possess an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent, have experience working with children, and be committed to establishing positive relationships with families. Shift work may be required between 8am and 6pm to accommodate the Centre's hours.

Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Officer to join the large team at Parkhill ELC Centre.

You will have skills, knowledge and experience of all current Early Learning and Childcare provision and procedures and have a passion for promoting and delivering high quality play and learning both indoors and outdoors.

You will work as an effective team member and establish positive relationships with children and families. You will have knowledge and experience of current early learning and childcare provision and procedures.

Qualifications

With experience of working with children, you will have an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent. You must be registered with or currently seeking registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.

Details

The post is full time (37 hours) and is full year (NOT term time) and is permanent within Falkirk Council Children’s Services.

Please note the ELC Centre is open from 8am to 6pm and you must be prepared to work a shift pattern between these hours.
