West Midlands/ temporary / £12.21 - 12.50 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a private day nursery within Birmingham. This setting works hard to ensure good quality care and many learning opportunities for the children within the nursery. They currently support children settling into the nursery by helping them feel safe and secure, whilst being attentive to their needs. The setting helps children to develop a love of books and reading, supporting them with their communication and language development as well as supporting their independence.

This nursery is looking to take on an Early Years Assistant on a long‑term basis, leading to a permanent role for the right Early Years Assistant. The successful Early Years Assistant will have previous experience working within an early years setting, as well as a good knowledge of how young children learn and develop. You will work with the team to give children new opportunities to learn and develop whilst supporting their growth. The successful Early Years Assistant will be working mainly with the baby room but is also expected to be flexible to the needs of the nursery.

Qualifications

• Be eager to learn new skills and gain new knowledge of the Early Years sector
• Be enthusiastic about undergoing various training in different areas across Early Years, such as Safeguarding and the EYFS curriculum
• Have a caring and positive approach to working with young children
