An established industry player in education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team. Are you a Learning Support Assistant interested in working on a full basis?
We are working with a mainstream primary school based in South London who are looking to recruit an EAL Teaching Assistant. The position is for full time, starting in December 2016 (It can be sooner for the right candidate) and will run until the end of the academic year (July 2017) with a view of going permanent for the right person.
The school is offering a personalised programme to increase pupil attainment. This intervention programme is designed to help pupils reach their full potential.
EAL Specialist Responsibilities Include:
As an EAL Specialist, you will be working to support small groups of pupils across KS1 & KS2 who have trouble speaking English and with their language, vocabulary, reading, writing, and listening on a one-to-one and small group basis.
It is essential that you have a strong level of literacy and numeracy and have current experience working in a school environment.

The main objective of this role is to help integrate students into school ensuring that language does not become a barrier. You will be expected to work both inside and outside of the classroom setting to boost their academic and personal skills, reporting any progress to the SENCO.
