The E-Commerce Trading Assistant will support the delivery of trading performance across the Huws Gray Group's digital platforms, primarily focusing on the Huws Gray brand. Working closely with the Trading Manager, you will assist in executing daily trading activity, optimising product presentation, managing data accuracy, and supporting promotional and merchandising initiatives. You will also play an active role in ensuring that all products are accurately maintained and enriched within the Group's Product Information Management (PIM) system to deliver a consistent and high-quality customer experience. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop a career in e-commerce and gain hands‑on experience within a fast‑growing digital environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Trading Manager in delivering daily, weekly and monthly trading priorities across all Group websites.
  • Review onsite categories, product listings and navigation to ensure optimal presentation and availability.
  • Assist with setting up and scheduling online promotions, campaigns and price updates.
  • Monitor site performance, identify errors or inconsistencies and liaise with relevant teams to resolve them.
  • Check homepage banners, landing pages and key journeys to ensure they trade effectively and align with current campaigns.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a trading, merchandising or e‑commerce role, ideally within retail, distribution or a B2B environment.
  • Previous experience using Magento Adobe Commerce.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills and accuracy.
  • Confident using data and Excel/Google Sheets to analyse performance and identify insights.
  • Understanding of online merchandising and promotional planning.
  • Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM) systems; experience with Akeneo advantageous.
  • Comfortable working across multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communicator with a proactive, collaborative mindset.
Benefits
  • Competitive rates of pay.
  • 24 days annual leave in addition to recognised public and bank holidays.
  • Company attendance and performance bonuses.
  • Company pension scheme – in line with auto‑enrolment.
  • Death in service.
  • Career progression and personal development opportunities.
  • Being part of a "team" as opposed to just being a number.
  • Staff discounts on items purchased from any of our nationwide branches.

We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer and are committed to creating a respectful and inclusive workplace, whether you are based in one of our branches, on the road, or in one of our offices.
