Interim Finance Systems Lead (MS Dynamics 365) - 12-Month Contract

Location: Oxfordshire (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Contract Length: 12 months

Start: ASAP

Salary: around £85,000 - £90,000 + benefits

Our client, a leading technology business based in Oxfordshire, is looking to optimise the use of their ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365. To support this programme, they are seeking a qualified accountant with strong Dynamics 365 implementation or upgrade experience to lead this piece of work over the next 12 months. This is a high-profile interim assignment, working closely with senior finance and operational stakeholders to ensure Dynamics 365 is fully embedded, optimised, and delivering meaningful management information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the optimisation, implementation or upgrade of Microsoft Dynamics 365 within the finance function
  • Act as the finance lead between the business, systems partners, and technical teams
  • Review current processes and redesign workflows to maximise ERP capability
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, controls, and data integrity within Dynamics
  • Support and improve management reporting and dashboards, working with existing BI tools
  • Train and support finance users to ensure adoption and best practice usage
  • Identify and deliver continuous improvements across finance systems and reporting
Key Requirements
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
  • Proven experience leading or heavily involved in a Dynamics 365 Finance implementation or upgrade
  • Strong understanding of finance processes (GL, P2P, O2C, reporting, controls)
  • Ability to operate as a hands‑on systems lead and trusted business partner
  • Experience working in a project or change environment
