A regional police department in Dorchester is seeking a Duties Officer to manage staffing levels and resources for approximately 2000 police officers and staff. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing flexibility in work locations. Salary : Scale D / BAR / E - Starts at £26,106 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £33,264 per annum
Please note that the above salary is based on working 37 hours per week. If this role is part‑time or you are appointed on a part‑time basis your salary will be prorated to reflect this. Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Devon & Cornwall or Dorset Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same Scale.

The Duties Management Team is a key area within Dorset Police projecting resources for approximately 2000 Police Officers and Police Staff over a 12 month period as cost effectively as possible.
Whilst monitoring staffing levels on a daily basis, and managing Annual Leave / other abstractions for the force, the Duties Team liaise with various department leads highlighting and problem solving any staffing issues to ensure agreed staffing levels are achieved.
