Overview

Registered Manager - Residential Learning Disabilities Service

Location: Manchester (M30 area - dual-site service)

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, flexible)

Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Hold and maintain CQC registration, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Lead, motivate, and develop staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
  • Embed Positive Behaviour Support and least-restrictive practice
  • Oversee assessments, care planning, risk management, and outcomes
  • Manage safeguarding concerns in line with legislation and local procedures
  • Ensure robust governance, audits, and quality assurance processes
  • Recruit, supervise, appraise, and develop staff, including succession planning
  • Manage rotas, staffing levels, and resources to ensure safe service delivery
  • Build strong relationships with families, commissioners, and professionals
  • Manage budgets and support financial sustainability
About You

You will be an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up, with a background in learning disabilities and challenging behaviour services. You will have excellent knowledge of CQC standards and strong leadership capability.
