Job description

The role involves working across our network of leisure centres in the local contract area, delivering sustainable Healthy Communities projects and programmes that tackle health inequalities and drive measurable impact for the community.

Responsibilities
  • Work between Willowburn Leisure Centre, Ponteland Leisure Centre and Morpeth Leisure Centre.
  • Set up and manage a range of sustainable Healthy Communities projects and programmes that deliver measurable impact for the community, focusing on tackling health inequalities.
  • Complete all monitoring and evaluation activities requested by the line manager, in line with current data protection protocols.
  • Deliver specific Healthy Community projects/programmes (e.g. Exercise Referral, gym‑based classes, falls prevention) in accordance with agreed parameters and relevant training/qualifications.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant training and qualifications in the delivery of healthy community projects (e.g. Exercise Referral, gym‑based classes, falls prevention). The role is open to candidates who meet the criteria for the specific programme type.
  • A passion for improving the health of the local community and the ability to plan, deliver, and monitor sessions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
