Job summary

A leading beverage supplier in Thurrock is seeking a Driver's Mate to assist in loading/unloading stock and support drivers on efficient traffic routes. Ideal candidates should have experience in similar roles but full training will be provided. This role requires good manual handling skills and knowledge of the local area. Job Title: Driver's Mate

Location: West Thurrock, RM20 3LB

Job Length: Permanent

Working Hours: 48 hours per week. Working predominantly on a Monday to Friday basis however flexibility required to work any 5 days in a 7 day period to suit business needs.

About the role:

If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Driver's Mate. Reporting to the Transport Manager, this role will play a key part of our success journey and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities:

• Supporting the driver and warehouse teams in loading/unloading of stock.
• Supporting the driver with the most efficient traffic routes to help you both get to each location and back home as quickly and safely as possible.
• Building brilliant working relationships with your customers and other departments.
• Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes.

Experience and Key Attributes:

• Prior experience working as a driver’s mate, drayman or within a warehouse desirable however not required.
• Manual handling experience and/or training desirable, however full training will be provided during induction.
• Knowledge of local region.
