Job summary

A leading environmental services company based in South Cambridgeshire is seeking a Class 2 Driver. You will be responsible for driving to collection locations, emptying waste containers, and ensuring compliance with traffic laws while maintaining a clean roadway. The ideal candidate will possess a Class 2 licence, CPC/Digi card, and have strong time management skills. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Drive to planned collection locations to empty waste containers.
  • Lift bins of various weights and sizes.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks per the operator handbook.
  • Input all information into the onboard system and keep paperwork updated.
  • Comply with traffic laws and ensure roadway cleanliness.

Class 2 Driver

Salary: £38,675.58 per annum plus Veolia benefits - Paid weekly

£5.00 daily meal allowance

Hours: 48 hours per week, early starts between 4am/6am. Some days you may be asked to start later, so you must be flexible with working hours.

Location: Dogsthorpe, Peterborough, PE1 3TD

What you\'ll be doing
  • Driving to planned collection locations and moving and emptying multiple waste containers
  • Lifting bins of all weights and sizes
  • Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
  • Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
  • Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads
  • Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up
