Job summary

A progressive and ambitious catering firm is seeking a Driver / Administration and Logistics Assistant for its Croydon office. This full-time, permanent role requires an experienced driver proficient in logistics administration and Microsoft Office. Overview

Job Title : Driver / Administration and Logistics Assistant

Location : ifse Head Office, Croydon, CR0 4XD

Responsibilities

Key Duties :

  • Be familiar with all projects in progress and understand what equipment will be coming into the IFSE warehouse, including third party warehouse transfers, fabrication items to be collected, and equipment delivered directly from manufacturers.
  • Maintain knowledge of items on each project, track origins, and ensure on-time delivery to site. Attend initial project handover meeting to gain a full understanding of the project.

Other Duties Include :

  • Check all orders and project schedules to ensure equipment is received into IFSE warehouse just in time for delivery, coordinating with the order process administrator, project manager, and suppliers; may involve delaying receipt if a project is delayed.
  • Be responsible for all goods-in and goods-out for the IFSE warehouse, ensuring security of the goods.
  • Check goods-in equipment into the warehouse, label immediately, and mark off against the project or stock schedule.

What we're looking for
  • Experienced driver and general logistics administrator with at least 5 years' experience of driving a 3.5t vehicle.
  • Forklift truck licence
  • High level of competency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate and work well within a small team.
  • Full clean driving licence
  • A can-do proactive approach with excellent communication skills

  • Salary dependent on experience and level of skills, minimum London Living Wage
  • Private Health Care (after 20 weeks service)
  • Company pension scheme with 4% company contribution
  • Life cover amounting to 4 x salary (after 20 weeks service)
  • Paid annual leave: 25 days pro rata plus Public Holidays
  • Following the third year of service, leave increases by one day per year, up to a maximum of 30 days
  • Bank holidays are paid in addition to the above annual leave
  • Discretionary annual profit share which is related to the success of the company for the year
  • On-site parking available; IFSE offices are within a 5-minute walk of the Waddon Marsh tram stop
