Responsibilities

The Royal Armouries & New Dock Hall is the largest dedicated conference, events and Exhibition space in Leeds. Our venue offers world-class facilities for high-profile conferences, conventions, exhibitions, awards dinners and corporate events for up to 2,500 delegates, hosting more than 380 national and international events every year. We are looking for an enthusiastic Door Supervisor to join our dedicated operations team at The Royal Armouries. As a Door Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and safety of our customers during events. You will be managing crowds and responding to enquiries, ensuring compliance with venue policies and safe working procedures.

Purpose of the role:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service to our guests and clients
  • Presenting a smart, alert and visible security presence at the venue
  • Greeting, assisting and directing guests attending the event
  • Overseeing crowd control, guiding foot traffic, managing queues, maintaining order, and reporting any anti-social behaviour
  • To acquire a good knowledge of the layout of the site and the available facilities
  • Carrying out pre and post event safety checks
  • Monitoring external noise levels for the comfort of our surrounding neighbours
  • Investigating any disturbances or incidents
  • Effectively responding to emergencies by raising the alarm, offering immediate and appropriate assistance, and supporting the emergency services if needed
  • Complying with Health & Safety regulations
