Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Accept care packages and assign care workers to service users appropriately.
  • Produce care workers’ rotas and manage Birdie software.
  • Ensure service user files are up to date.
  • Manage workloads and phone monitor service quality.
  • Liaise with clients and local authorities effectively.
  • Attend training events for skill enhancements.
  • Carry out on-call duties as per management's requirements.
  • Provide support to care workers and service users during on-call.

Job Overview

Ask Care Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Care Coordinator for its Redbridge, London Branch. Ask Care Ltd is a well-established domiciliary care agency that provides home carers to clients, helping them to continue living safely and independently in their own homes. Applicants must have held a Care Coordinator position in a domiciliary care agency for at least one year as this job requires the successful candidate to be able to start the actual work from day one and hit the ground running.

Responsibilities
  • Accepting care packages and assigning care workers to service users in an appropriate manner.
  • Producing care workers rotas and managing Birdie software.
  • Ensuring that service user files are up to date.
  • Managing the rotas and workloads of the carers.
  • Telephone monitoring and service user visits and ensuring service quality.
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities and other external organisations over the telephone and via email.
  • Attending training events and ensuring that skills and knowledge of industry best practice is kept up-to-date.
  • Carrying out on‑call duties, overnight and at weekends, on a rota basis as determined by management.
  • Providing telephone support and assistance to care workers and service users when on‑call, and checking the call alerts system in the morning/midday/evenings at weekends.
  • Working flexibly as required by the needs of the service.
  • Attending meetings as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year’s experience as the Care Coordinator of a domiciliary care agency.
  • Efficient in computer and basic technical skills.
  • Experience of scheduling and coordinating a team of care workers using an electronic monitoring system such as Birdie.
Language Requirements
  • Abide by the ability to speak and understand Hindi and Punjabi.
  • Hindi – Advanced.
  • Panjabi – Advanced.
