Job summary

A supportive care organization in Plymouth is seeking a Domestic Assistant to provide high-quality housekeeping support. Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality.
  • Comfortable engaging with service users and their families.

Responsibilities

  • General cleaning of units across the service.
  • Cleaning service users’ rooms and communal areas.
  • Washing, drying, ironing and folding clothing.

  • Ability to work weekends and flexibility to cover shifts at times to cover for periods of annual leave or sickness.
General Duties and Responsibilities (not exhaustive)
  • General cleaning of units across the service and working within the Laundry.
  • Cleaning service users’ rooms and communal areas.
  • Mopping, sweeping, dusting, hoovering, carpet cleaning.
  • Washing, drying, ironing and folding clothing and bed linens and putting these into service user bedrooms.
  • Completion of documentation in relation to cleaning and occasional care related documentation if you have had significant interactions with service users.
  • Stocking up communal areas.
  • Receiving and storing away of Housekeeping deliveries.
