Job description

As a District Nurse, you'll be the cornerstone of safe, effective community care.

You will:

  • Manage a caseload linked to one or two GP surgeries.
  • Deliver holistic assessments and care for patients with long‑term conditions and complex needs.
  • Perform advanced clinical skills including venepuncture, wound care, catheterisation, and end‑of‑life care using syringe drivers.
  • Act as a role model, supporting and teaching staff and students in the community.

You'll work collaboratively with Community Matrons, Registered Nurses, Nursing Associates, and Healthcare Assistants, visiting patients in their homes and care settings across Guildford and Waverley.

The Procare Chief Operating Officer is a Nurse by background, who has a real passion for all aspects of Community working. Our board is clinically led with a Director of Nursing and GPs who have vast community experience, ensuring that Procare has the expertise and knowledge base needed to develop sustainable integrated services.

  • Hours: Flexible shifts between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Sunday.
  • Contract: Permanent, full‑time.
