Job summary

A leading financial services company in the UK is seeking a Risk Management Team Leader to oversee the delivery of the risk-based Distribution Assurance Plan. You will support the Head of Operational Risk and lead a team of experts to implement the Risk Framework effectively. Job description

This role reports to the Head of Operational Risk and supports them to make effective risk management simple and accessible. You will lead and develop a team of risk experts, working closely with colleagues across all lines of defence to understand the key components of the companies Risk Framework, how they apply and implementing these in a simple and clear way.

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  • Responsible for the delivery of the risk-based Distribution Assurance Plan
  • Provide support to the Senior Distribution Assurance Manager to deliver the broader Line 1 Risk Assurance Plan, as required
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of an appropriate methodology for all assurance activity delivered by self and team
  • Ensure the quality of reports is appropriate and deliver assurance activity in line with the agreed protocols within the Line 1 Risk Assurance Team
  • Knowledge of FCA/PRA requirements and expectations, with a focus on conduct and operational risks involved in distributing financial products and services
  • Ability to communicate risk management concepts in a way that is simple and accessible
  • Ability to process, collate, and present data in a clear and consistent manner and use this information to drive meaningful action
  • Ability to influence in support of a risk-aware and customer focused culture
