Job description
About the Job

Lime is the largest global shared micromobility business, operating in close to 30 countries across five continents. We’re on a mission to build a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free. Our electric bikes and scooters have powered more than one billion rides in cities around the world. Named a 2025 Time 100 Most Influential Company, Lime continues to set the pace for shared micromobility globally, spurring a new generation of clean alternatives to car ownership.

We’re looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking People leader to join our team as Director, Global People Solutions. As we enter our next stage of growth, you’ll design Lime’s People infrastructure, advancing our systems, processes, and service delivery to build efficient, compliant, and employee-centered operations. You’ll lead a global team focused on operational excellence across people (HR) systems and operations, ensuring our foundation scales with the business. You recognize their power in shaping a positive and consistent work culture, ensuring systems make work easier and help every employee do their best work at Lime.

The ideal candidate brings depth in People Operations and systems design, and a proven ability to elevate People Operations into a strategic driver of growth. You thrive in complexity and see transformation as opportunity, bringing clarity, structure, and inspiration to evolving organizations. You understand how technology, data, and process work together to create clarity, consistency, and great employee experiences. You thrive on translating business needs into practical solutions, and leading teams through modernization and change. You’re equally comfortable shaping long-term people strategies and rolling up your sleeves to make them real.

This is a remote position with a preference for candidates residing in EMEA or the United States to maintain effective collaboration across teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and evolve People Solutions: Oversee a global team responsible for people operations, and HRIS (including Workday management), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service delivery across all employee touchpoints.
  • Modernize our tools: Oversee Lime’s HR technology strategy, including Workday optimization, automation, integrations, and vendor management, driving digital transformation and efficiency.
  • Drive operational excellence: Ensure timely and accurate handling of employee support requests and transactions in line with SLAs, compliance standards, and teammate expectations.
  • Own payroll operations: Own payroll operations in partnership with Finance, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with global regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance: Partner with Legal, Compliance, and COEs to ensure adherence to all state, federal, and international labor requirements, including documentation, background checks, onboarding/offboarding, leaves, investigations, and record retention.
  • Simplify through partnership: Collaborate with IT, Finance, Legal and People COEs to align systems, policies, and processes that enable consistent and scalable People practices.
  • Use data to improve: Analyze case trends, service metrics, and workload distribution to identify and implement improvements in processes and automation, ultimately enhancing the teammate experience.
  • Develop the team: Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing People Solutions team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and exceptional service.
  • Manage change: Drive adoption of new tools and processes through clear communication, training, and change management, ensuring understanding and engagement at all levels.
About You
  • 10+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Systems, or related fields, with demonstrated success leading global teams in transforming and scaling systems for growth.
  • Proven ability to design and execute scalable People processes with a global mindset across diverse geographies and functions.
  • Deep expertise in HR technology ecosystems, ideally Workday, with a strong understanding of automation, integrations, and data integrity.
  • Skilled in balancing compliance rigor with user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Experienced in payroll operations and governance, with knowledge of global compliance standards.
  • Collaborative leader who builds trust and alignment across People, Finance, IT, and Legal teams.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a bias toward simplification and clarity.
  • Strategic mindset with hands‑on capability – able to shift between long‑term design and day‑to‑day enablement.
