  • Managing treasury, reserves, investments, pensions and tax compliance.
  • Building and leading a high-performing finance team.
  • Supporting major projects, tenders, partnerships and financial due diligence.
  • Partnering with senior leaders on income generation and cost optimisation.
  • Leading improvements in financial systems, data accessibility and digital tools.
  • Contributing to sustainability goals and climate-conscious financial leadership.

Overview

An ambitious, values-driven organisation is seeking an outstanding Director of Finance to lead its finance function through a period of transformation and growth. Reporting into the CFO you will play a pivotal leadership role within the organisation. You'll lead a talented finance team, act as a trusted advisor to the executive team and drive forward innovation in financial systems and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and delivering a long-term financial strategy aligned with organisational goals
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and modelling
  • Overseeing statutory reporting, audits and compliance with charity finance regulations (SORP, Companies Act)
  • Managing treasury, reserves, investments, pensions and tax compliance
  • Building and leading a high-performing finance team (approx. 30 colleagues)
  • Supporting major projects, tenders, partnerships and financial due diligence
  • Partnering with senior leaders on income generation and cost optimisation
  • Leading improvements in financial systems, data accessibility and digital tools
  • Contributing to sustainability goals and climate-conscious financial leadership
