Job summary

Overview

We are looking to recruit a self‑motivated, energetic and driven individual to deliver directed study support sessions and supervise and support Further Education Learners in a Learning Resources environment at Truro and Penwith College.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with 16‑19‑year‑old students, guiding their progress, building confidence, and helping them realise their potential. You will create a positive and engaging study environment and cover curriculum lessons using pre‑prepared materials when required.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver directed study support sessions.
  • Supervise and support learners in a Learning Resources environment.
  • Create a positive and engaging study environment and cover curriculum lessons when required.
  • Support students with coursework, research, study skills, revision techniques and progression planning.
Qualifications
  • Degree level education.
  • Experience working and delivering within a college, school or youth environment.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
  • A "can do" attitude with a student‑focused approach.
  • Flexible attitude to work and an understanding of learners' changing needs.
