Dining Host

Harbour Healthcare is seeking an ambitious Dining Host to join their team in Harrogate.

The principle responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring safe delivery of food to the dining room and temperature recording of food
- Supporting smooth operations for mealtimes and snacks in line with standards and policies
- Supporting the care team to serve food and drink attractively and in line with company crockery and cutlery standards
- Understanding and following special dietary requirements and ensuring residents are safely catered for with their nutritional needs met
- Following daily kitchen cleaning rota and ensuring high standards of hygiene are kept
- Supporting the maintenance of general cleanliness of the dining rooms/kitchenette and hydration stations
- Liaising with residents and recording feedback in appropriate documentation
- Attending staff meetings and undergoing training as required
In terms of Health & Safety, you will be required to:
- Report any illness or accident to the Home Manager or Person in Charge
- Understand and implement the Home Health and Safety Policy and Emergency and Fire procedure
- Report any faulty appliances or potential hazards to the Home Manager or Handyperson
- Promote safe working practice in the Home
