Dining Host

Full Time - 3 shifts/week - 30h/week, £12.37/h. The Granby Care Home - Granby Rd, Harrogate HG1 4SR

Harbour Healthcare is seeking an ambitious Dining Host to join their team in Harrogate.

The principle responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensuring safe delivery of food to the dining room and temperature recording of food
  • Supporting smooth operations for mealtimes and snacks in line with standards and policies
  • Supporting the care team to serve food and drink attractively and in line with company crockery and cutlery standards
  • Understanding and following special dietary requirements and ensuring residents are safely catered for with their nutritional needs met
  • Following daily kitchen cleaning rota and ensuring high standards of hygiene are kept
  • Supporting the maintenance of general cleanliness of the dining rooms/kitchenette and hydration stations
  • Liaising with residents and recording feedback in appropriate documentation
  • Attending staff meetings and undergoing training as required

In terms of Health & Safety, you will be required to:

  • Report any illness or accident to the Home Manager or Person in Charge
  • Understand and implement the Home Health and Safety Policy and Emergency and Fire procedure
  • Report any faulty appliances or potential hazards to the Home Manager or Handyperson
  • Promote safe working practice in the Home
