Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Digital Skills Tutor to support learners in a secure environment. Digital Skills Tutor
Location: HMYOI Werrington
Salary: From £30,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Digital Skills Tutor to join our team at HMYOI Werrington. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting learners within a secure environment, delivering engaging digital skills sessions to small groups. Working closely with our education and management teams, you'll deliver a curriculum designed to build confidence, knowledge, and employability skills among learners.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality, learner-focused digital skills training in line with individual learning plans. You'll help learners work towards their long-term goals by equipping them with the knowledge, behaviours, and skills required for personal and professional success.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging digital skills sessions in line with the agreed curriculum and schemes of learning
• Work with individuals and small groups of learners to support progress and achievement
• Develop and review training plans tailored to learner needs
• Provide advice, guidance, and encouragement to help learners reach their potential
• Ensure quality standards are met in teaching delivery and learner outcomes

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English (or equivalent)
• Significant industry experience in digital skills or a related field
• Previous experience delivering training or teaching in a similar setting
• A teaching or assessing qualification is desirable (e.g., PTLLS, AET, TAQA)
• A flexible and engaging approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt delivery methods to suit varied learning styles
