Digital Service Manager - Contract Opportunity

Location: North Nottingham

Contract Type: 4-month contract

Day Rate: DOE

Start Date: ASAP

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Digital Service Manager to join our client's team and lead service management activities aligned with ITIL principles. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality digital services, manage stakeholders and suppliers, and drive efficiency improvements across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee service management processes to support digital services.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain service quality and performance.

Deputise for the Lead Service Manager when required.

Manage risks associated with system changes and releases.

Lead supplier and contract management, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.

Drive cost savings and process improvements year-on-year.

Support and mentor junior team members.

Essential Skills & Experience

ITIL Foundation certification (plus at least one ITIL Lifecycle course or equivalent).

Proven experience in service management and stakeholder engagement.

Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Solid understanding of modern software development and testing practices (e.g., Scrum).

Experience managing contracts and SLAs.

Desirable

Degree in IT or Business-related subject.

ITIL Expert or Manager certification.

Experience in DevOps environments and PRINCE2 project management.

Familiarity with tools such as TOPdesk and JIRA.
