DIGITAL PROJECT SUPPORT OFFICER PLACEMENTS

This is a new and exciting opportunity based within L&SC PCTH working in partnership with L&SC PCTH teams, including the central team, locality teams and General Practice Education Facilitators (GPEF) across Primary Care. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the development of digital initiatives for placement learning which will support building capacity and capability across the L&SC PCTH footprint.

You will be experienced in utilising and embedding digital technology to enhance learning alongside providing a solid infrastructure for digital delivery.
About us
The Lancashire and South Cumbria Primary Care Training Hub (L&SC PCTH) has been developed to support the NHS England deliverables outlined in both the Common Operational Guidance and Quality Framework. The primary functions of the Training Hub are to:
- Develop and expand placement capacity
- Ensure workforce planning is in place
- Increase recruitment to Primary Care
- Recruit and embed new roles
- Retain the workforce within Primary Care
- Offer placed based tariffs
Educational and workforce development opportunities will be provided across the Primary Care workforce which will include:
- New to Practice (Fellowships)
- Continual Professional Development
- Leadership Development
- Ad hoc opportunities offered by NHS England
Job responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working in partnership with all key stakeholders to further develop a clinical virtual placement and pre-registration placement for healthcare learners
- Working in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure the technological platforms utilised for placement are efficient and professional
- Working in partnership with all key stakeholders to develop associate documentation which can be utilised within a digital framework
- Ensure high quality learning experiences are provided for all learners across the placement models
- Participate in multi professional quality assurance monitoring of education in practice across the placement models in accordance with Quality Assurance systems in partnership with education providers
- Providing support to educators/mentors/assessors/supervisors within the digital placement elements to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Ensure all placement areas have a multi professional placement booklet/portfolio to provide information around the digital elements within the placement areas for learners, educators, patients and carers
- Communicate digital educational and practice information across placement providers and education institutions
- Network locally, regionally and nationally with peer group to support the sharing of best practice
- Identify any gaps in resources, education, development and knowledge in relation to the learning environment, providing action plans to address these
- Identify further learning experiences that will enhance learning opportunities
- Evaluate feedback from learners and educators/mentors/supervisors/assessors to develop action plans to further enhance quality learning in placements
- Ensure that equality and diversity issues are recognised, addressed in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures
- Ensure confidentiality for all stakeholders is adhered to at all times
- Undertake research and development relevant to learning within a digital environment
- Flexibility to adapt the role as required due to the evolving nature and growth of the L&SC PCTH as an organisation
Terms
Secondment or employment (Fixed term) until March 27
Hourly rate £17.78 – 23.82 depending on experience
Part-time 22.5 hrs/week
Travel will be expected

Experience
- Experience of presenting to all levels of stakeholders
- Experience of developing and implementing new systems and procedures
- Demonstrable application of governance and quality frameworks
- Experience of working across multiple technological and digital sites
- Project Management knowledge and experience

Qualifications
- Qualification in Technology and digital design or equivalent experience
- Project Management Training or equivalent experience

- Experience and knowledge in technology and digital delivery for learning
- Experience in delivering learning within a virtual environment
- Has the ability to plan and implement new ways of working, facilitates collaborative working to improve service performance where there is resistance to change
- High level of work organization, self-motivation, drive for performance and improvement, and flexibility in approach and attitude
- Strong sense of commitment to openness, honesty and integrity in undertaking the role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Calm and objective under pressure
- Ability to establish credibility and develop and maintain effective working relationships at operational and senior management level
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
- Must be able to present technical information to non-technical audiences, using a variety of media
- Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands
