Role Overview

Our apprenticeships are designed to give you an insight into a wide variety of areas of work and the chance to explore where your skills and interests lie. Through a combination of on‑the‑job learning and practical skills development, you’ll work towards your professional qualification. From day one you’ll work on real projects that offer scale and variety, collaborating with others and creating a meaningful impact on the world around us. You’ll be supported by our leaders, technical specialists, your own dedicated mentor and our continuous learning and development framework. You will earn a meaningful salary from day one as we proudly pay the Real Living Wage for our Level 6 Apprenticeships.

Responsibilities
  • Develop your skills in a wide range of exciting projects.
  • Learn and use relevant design software and technology.
  • Be involved in client meetings and assist in building key client relationships.
  • Understand and learn digital skills to help us harness technology in new ways.
  • Mentors support you as you study towards nationally recognised qualifications and accreditation.
  • Spend dedicated time at college or university to focus on studies, use digital technologies, including collaborative tools, to operate effectively as part of a team and with other stakeholders, enabling sharing of information and best practice.
  • Use data accurately and securely to meet business requirements and in line with organisational procedures and legislation.
  • Apply information security principles, e.g., information transfer, deletion, storage, usage and communications that may include using mobile devices.
  • Provide an appropriate and effective response to enquiries, providing support and information utilising digital channels and in line with organisation protocols.
  • Operate digital information systems, for example, management, finance, human resources, bespoke departmental or organisational systems or databases.
  • Communicate effectively through a variety of different channels using terminology appropriate to the audience.
  • Use digital resources to extend own knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
  • Risk‑assess the organisational impact of the decisions you take.
  • Use digital systems to identify productivity and performance improvements.
  • Support digital operations or digital change and transformation activities.
  • Investigate application problems and enable resolution to maintain productivity and improve quality of service.
  • Coach and guide stakeholders to develop their applications skills to use digital systems effectively.
  • Monitor data to analyse systems use and provide insights to recommend use or application developments.
  • Support customers in the use of information, products and services through digital channels.
  • Diagnose technical problems by identifying and applying tools and techniques to undertake fault finding, recording and rectification.
  • Maintain end‑user systems physically or remotely, e.g., software, hardware or operating systems.
  • Provide and direct end‑users to tools and resources to help them resolve their digital problems.

Benefits and Compensation

Salary: £22,500 per year.

Annual leave: 33 days, including bank holidays. Option to buy an additional 15 days or sell up to 5 days.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Two paid annual volunteer days.

Training course: Digital support technician (level 3).

Working hours: Monday to Friday (flexible timings). Shifts to be confirmed. 40 hours a week.

Start date: Monday 7 September 2026. Duration: 1 year 4 months.
