North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare are looking to recruit a Band 6 Dietitian to work in the Specialist Adult Eating Disorder Service.

37.5 hours per week - full time.

You will provide a specialist dietetic assessment of patients with diverse clinical presentation and pathology to determine a clinical diagnosis, provide treatment via therapeutic interventions as indicated and develop effective treatment plans.

Main duties of the job
  • To work as an autonomous practitioner to perform a specialist dietetic assessment of patients with diverse presentations.
  • To use clinical reasoning to provide a diagnosis and develop, deliver and adapt individualised dietetic treatment programmes.
  • To be responsible for organising and planning own and junior member of staff's caseloads, meet service and patient priorities, readjust plans as situations or changes arise and provide specialist dietetic reports as requested.

Job responsibilities
  • To identify and carry out Clinic reviews and Home Visits in accordance with Trust and Professional standards and to assess patient condition and suitability for discharge and, where appropriate, supervise dietitians and dietetic assistants in these tasks.
  • To implement monitoring and evaluation of treatment in order to measure progress and outcomes to ensure effectiveness of interventions and service delivery.
  • To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work and that of supervised dietitians and assistants, and hold responsibility for own caseload for a specialist area of the service, working without direct supervision.
  • To develop robust effective communication with all CWP staff and other relevant agencies (i.e. GPs and other medical staff, nursing staff, social care staff, carers and users, etc.) and support junior and assistant staff to communicate effectively.
