Successful candidates will thrive in a diverse and inclusive culture and will receive ongoing learning opportunities throughout their first year and beyond.
Our Corporate Bank Apprenticeship programme will provide you with formal training where you will be working in our day-to-day business as well as on special projects. You will build relationships and learn from Corporate Bank professionals from across the organisation whilst gaining a Level 5 Certificate of Higher Education in Operational Management leading onto a Responsible Business Management BSc (Hons) from the University of Exeter, CMI Level 6 Diploma in Professional Management and Leadership Practice and CMI Chartered Manager status.
Our apprenticeship programme will transform your career, providing you with world-class training, exposure to fascinating projects, and endless opportunities to gain the skills you need to innovate for the benefit of our clients and society. We bring together a top-ranked institutional sales force and world-class research with Relationship & Transaction Management (RTM) and Trust & Securities Services. You’ll work alongside some of the industry’s top minds and build a network around you that will help drive your career in the direction you want it to go in.
The Trust and Securities Services (TSS) business is comprised of products and services that support the international capital markets (including but not limited to conventional debt, structured finance, loan agency, and escrows). In addition to RTM, TSS encompasses a number of teams that cover Transaction Management (TMG), Business Development, and KYC. TSS is an integral part of the Corporate Bank with continuous double digit revenue growth year on year.
As an apprentice, you’ll be provided with the training, study support and on-the-job coaching to accelerate your career. With study support towards gaining a Level 5 Certificate of Higher Education in Operational Management leading onto a Responsible Business Management BSc (Hons) from the University of Exeter, skills, and technical financial training, along with introductions to Senior Leaders, you’ll be part of the team from day 1 with learning and development opportunities throughout your first year and beyond. Apprentices will also be supported by a mentor within the business, in addition to HR and their line manager.
Your experience in Corporate Bank will give you the opportunity to work in different areas of the teams you are placed in and will have a varied role. Your tasks might include supporting clients through the onboarding process, both from a Know Your Client and product perspective, providing customer service and relationship management support as well as technical guidance for the bank’s access channels. In addition, you will participate with client calls, reviewing client performance including pricing. The possibilities are endless so whichever areas you experience, the apprenticeship program is an ideal way to kickstart your career.
You will learn from the best, evolve professionally as well as personally, and build a firm foundation upon which to specialise later. Whichever path you take, by the end of your programme you’ll have the skills and experience to continue a long-term career with us.
