Purpose of the Role

This role is about designing the next generation of transport textiles. You0Bll create high-performance, visually distinctive fabrics that balance creativity, technical performance, and sustainability. Working from concept through to launch, you0Bll turn ideas and insights into commercially successful products that strengthen Camira's market leadership.

What You0Bll Do
  • Design innovative transport textiles that meet customer, market, and performance requirements.
  • Lead projects through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
  • Apply strong technical knowledge of fabric construction and performance.
  • Research trends, materials, and future technologies.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, marketing, customers, and external partners.
  • Present ideas through mood boards, visuals, and digital presentations.
  • Represent Camira at customer meetings and industry events.
  • Work in line with ISO 9001, the Camira Code of Conduct, and all relevant standards.
What We0Bre Looking For
  • Experience in textile design (transport or carpet industry preferred).
  • A degree in Textile / Surface / Print Design or equivalent experience.
  • Strong skills in Nedgraphics, Scotweave, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
  • A portfolio showing creativity, technical understanding, and commercial awareness.
  • Confident communicator with strong time-management skills.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach and a full driving licence.
