A local educational institution in Baldock is seeking a full-time/part-time Design and Technology teacher. The ideal candidate should possess a passion for teaching, strong subject knowledge, and a commitment to raising student achievement. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our thriving Design and Technology department as a full-time/part-time teacher. The department has a very strong and stable team and is renowned for its supportive and collaborative working relationships. D&T results have consistently been amongst the very best in the school over a number of years.
The successful applicant will be able to deliver high quality teaching and learning and be committed to promoting the achievement of young people with a strong focus on the design process and hands on practical work within a workshop environment. Some CAD knowledge would be advantageous. The post would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher, equally we would welcome applications from ECTs.
ECTs at Knights Templar will receive full support in their induction year and will benefit from our outstanding coaching and mentoring programme.
In April 2023, Ofsted graded the school as “good” and they commented that ‘Pupils want to succeed. They work hard in lessons and enjoy their subjects. They learn and achieve well. This includes the older students in the sixth form.’
