Our client, a leading Civil Engineering and Infrastructure specialist, is seeking a Design Project Manager to join their team in London on a contract basis.

Responsibilities for Design Project Manager :

  • Lead and manage the pre-construction phase with the client to secure future sustainable design and build opportunities.
  • Oversee multi-disciplinary consultant teams across several design packages.
  • Identify and control project risks and opportunities.
  • Apply commercial and technical change-control procedures.
  • Manage compliance with all project deliverables and assurance / governance requirements.
  • Develop, track, and deliver pre-construction budgets and programmes.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports and dashboards with clear narrative for clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external technical, operational, maintenance, and strategic stakeholders.
  • Coordinate site investigations and surveys.
  • Ensure preparation and implementation of project plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Manage early construction planning activities, including procurement, consents, and design coordination.
  • Oversee inputs from internal teams (e.g., HSEQ, customer functions).
