Residential & Mixed-Use Developments | Permanent

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum + car allowance + benefits (depending on experience)

We are working in partnership with a well-established and growing construction and development management business to recruit an experienced Design Manager.

Our client is a privately owned company operating across residential and mixed-use developments, with a strong reputation for delivering well-coordinated, high-quality projects. They are known for their collaborative approach, strong relationships with consultants and subcontractors, and their ability to take projects from early design stages through to successful on-site delivery. The Role

As Design Manager, you will take responsibility for managing the design process from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring all design information is coordinated, compliant, and aligned with the construction programme.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the design process across all project stages
  • Coordinating consultants, architects, and specialist designers
  • Reviewing and managing design information, drawings, and specifications
  • Ensuring design compliance with building regulations and employer's requirementsWorking closely with construction, commercial, and client teams
  • Identifying and resolving design risks and buildability issues
  • Supporting value engineering and design development exercises
About You
  • Proven experience in a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator role
  • Background working on residential or mixed-use developments
  • Strong understanding of design management and construction processes
  • Experience coordinating external consultants and design teams
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Relevant construction or design qualifications preferred
