Design Engineer (Electrical)
Plymouth, Commutable from: Tavistock, Ivybridge, Saltash, Yelverton

Up to £59,280 per annum, dependant on experience + Bonus + Early Finish on Friday + Pension + Extra Benefits

Excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in electrical control systems design to join a market-leading, international manufacturing company.

The company is a well-established, highly regarded manufacturer in the Plymouth area with global sites. They are known for product quality and being a progressive employer. Due to growth, they are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join the design team.

In this role, you will work closely with the maintenance team, designing and drawing electrical circuits and control panels, safety circuits, motion control, PLC & HMI programming, and system integration into manufacturing robots and standalone machines.

The Role:
  1. Design control panels, identify obsolete components, source alternatives, implement upgrades, and analyze downtime faults to develop effective PPM and TPM activities.
  2. Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm, with a 3:30pm finish on Fridays.
  3. Benefits include monthly & yearly bonuses, 33 days holiday including bank holidays (with purchase scheme), life insurance (3x salary), 5% pension, and retail discounts.
The Person:
  • Electrical Engineering qualifications.
  • PLC & HMI programming knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams.
