We are looking for a highly experienced Registered General Nurse with an interest in Cardiology with strong clinical skills, who is enthusiastic, and motivated to provide visible leadership in support of the Ward Manager on A11. We also welcome current Band 5's who wish to take on a new challenge on a busy Cardiology Ward caring for patients who are admitted for treatment and assessment under the medical directorate, within the field of Cardiology. The successful candidate will be supported to develop their leadership skills and will lead by example to deliver excellent high-quality care. Supported by the Ward manager and Matron, you will develop your professional accountability, innovative thinking contributing to a clear vision for the in-patient nursing area. You will be responsible for the continuous management of the ward and contributing to high standards of care delivery.
We are looking for a caring, compassionate individual that is well organised, thrives under pressure and feels ready to develop their leadership skills within a friendly and supportive team. We offer you excellent managerial support and commitment to your personal professional development. You can access a variety of training courses from Acute Illness Management, ILS to mentorship. We will also providing training in our Catheter lab and rhythm recognition so you will have the necessary skills to develop within Cardiology.
The post holder will be an experienced band 5 nurse or band 6 sister who can demonstrate they have a range of transferable skills within the hospital setting.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trust's policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately. If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary. In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
