The role will commence in April 2026 or September 2026 and will support the strategic development of SEND provision across the school and contribute to ensuring high-quality teaching, targeted support, and meaningful progress for pupils with additional needs.

Core Responsibilities
  • Assist the SENDCO in overseeing SEND provision across the school.
  • Support with identification, assessment, and monitoring of pupils with SEND.
  • Coordinate interventions and track their effectiveness.
  • Work with teachers to ensure high-quality classroom provision, differentiation, and scaffolding.
  • Support the writing and review of pupil profiles, support plans, and EHCP-linked documentation.
  • Liaise with external professionals, families, and services as required.
  • Maintain accurate SEND records and contribute to statutory reporting.
  • Lead or support training and professional learning for staff around inclusive strategies.
  • Contribute to ensuring that the school meets its legal and statutory obligations in relation to SEND.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, high expectations, and aspirational outcomes for all learners.
